Anyone can benefit from Reiki. It is beneficial for people of all ages and backgrounds, including those with chronic illnesses, mental health conditions, and stress-related issues.
No, Reiki is not a religious practice. It is a spiritual practice that involves clearing and balancing the client's energetic channels to promote healing, clarity and balance.
Reiki is not a cure for illnesses. However, it can promote healing and reduce the symptoms associated with illnesses by balancing the recipient's energy. Energy balance is key in healing. Energy balance allows the body to heal itself as it is designed to.
It is ALWAYS suggested that someone consult with their physician for any changes in current health conditions! NEVER stop taking medications without first talking with your physician.
In-person sessions consist of the client, remaining fully clothed, lying on a comfortable massage table with calm lighting, soft relaxing music, crystals and essential oils (crystals and essential oils can be refused if the client so wishes). The practitioner provides the session by lightly touching, or hovering over, different areas of the body (head, neck, chest, hips, arms, legs and feet) to clear and move stagnant energy.
Distant healing sessions will be provided through Zoom. You will select your own comfortable, quiet area to relax while the practitioner provides energy healing distantly (energy knows no location so being in-person is not necessary). The practitioner will walk you through the session by softly stating what area they are currently working on while you relax in your own space.
Yes! Animals respond well to energy healing. Their sessions are usually much shorter and can be done in-person and also distantly.
Wear comfortable clothing.
Drink plenty of water.
Avoid caffeine.
Avoid alcohol or other mind-altering substances.
Have a light snack before your session.
Spend a little time quietly with yourself. Ask yourself what you would like to obtain, release or heal during your energy session and set that as your intention.
A great night's sleep! Most clients report a restful night's sleep after a reiki session!
Continue to drink plenty of water.
Avoid caffeine.
Continue to move. Movement will help continue the release process.
Be gentle and patient with yourself.
Take an Epson salt bath.
Each reiki session is conducted in similar ways but may have slight differences based on what each client may need at the time of their session. Your experience in one session may be totally different than the experience you have in your next session. Everyone experiences energy work in their own way.
